I try to see the world in some other way, or sometimes just experiment to see how things can be seen or show you what I see.
I use any camera that I can put my hands on, but so far only digital. The cameras I own are a Canon Digital Rebel XT (350d) and Pentax MX4 (My first camera was a Canon S50 which unfortunately passed away and in my opinion, still beats most of today's compact cameras). I have the following lenses: Canon 16-35L f2.8, Canon 50mm f1.8 (aka Erika), Canon 28-70L f2.8 (aka Anna), Sigma 70-200 f2.8, Sigma 28-70 f2.8-4, Sigma 70-300 f4.5-5.6. I'm planning to get a good macro and longer/better telephoto lenses soon and envision a time when I can own a 200 mega pixel digital camera.
Masoud Harati has taken part in a group exhibition of contemporary painting and photography from Iran (17 artists) in Candlestar Gallery, Apr 8-17, 2008 in UK. These works represent a wide variety of styles, which combine the influence of old and new styles and genres in Iranian visual art. Taken together they constitute a celebration of a wide spectrum of creativity and style, and an acknowledgement of the very different and even unique voices of artists working in Iran today.
