"Caroun
Photo Club" is going to held
the first "Annual Photography Group Exhibition", this
year in Tehran.

All the members of the "Canadian Association for Photographic
Art" (CAPA) and "Caroun Photo Club" (CPC), could take part in the Photography
Group Exhibition:
Place: Haft-Samar Gallery, Tehran, Iran
Date: 3-8 November
2006
Subject: Free
Slide, Negative or Digital (Color) could take part.
Each member could send maximum 5 photos; among them, one may be
chosen or not.
A Jury will select photos for the exhibition. The Jury are 3 Iranian
Professional Photographers:
Maryam Zandi, Naser Taghvai and Jassem Ghazban
Pour.
Each photo will have a code, and jury selects photo without knowing the
photographer; so, one's photo may participate in the exhibition or not.
Photos sent from Iran should be printed photos 13x13 to 13x18 cm and they should
be mailed to:
Masoud Soheili, PO Box 15875-6655, Tehran, Iran
Do not write anything at the back of photos! Please send a copy of your
membership Cards of CPC and CAPA & your email address!
Other photographers abroad should email
their works: JPG high quality max 500x500 pixels
Please send a copy of your membership Cards of CPC and CAPA (jpg) and your email address!
These members could mail their works by post too, but there's no guarantee. If
we receive it, it will be confirmed by email.
All the works should be in Tehran before August 16 (Mordad 25). Works
received after August 16, could not participate in the exhibition.
Do not send the photos, which are exhibited before, or have taken part
in other competitions.
Aksbaran Photo Lab, our sponsor, will print and fix the photos on the
board.
This amount of the sold works will be sent to
their owners at:
1- Iran: January 1, 2007
2- Abroad: April 1, 2007
The costs of wiring should be reduced.
Because of the post costs, no material will be returned. All the CD and
printed works remain in Tehran file.
Jury will select photos on August 19, 2006.
The selected works will be announced on August 22, 2006.
Members, whose works are selected, should send a *.Tiff file of their
works 30x40 cm to 40x40 cm on CD, 300 pixels/inch, by
POST to the
above mentioned address. All the works should be in Tehran before Sept.
16. The color, light, contrast... of the photos should be adjusted,
ready for print.
They should determine the price of their works to present in the
exhibition.
%50 of the price will goes for the costs of the gallery and exhibition;
the rest remains for the member, owner of the photo.
Caroun Photo Club has the right to publish all the photos on Internet or
publish them as a calendar, book...
Prizes:
*The
best five works due to the idea of the Jury, achieve a "CAPA
Golden Medal" and one year
subscription of "Profession: Artist"
magazine, each.
These five works will be published in the magazine of the Canadian Association for Photographic
Art,
"Canadian Camera".
* The three selected works achieve a series of "Tasvir
Magazine", gifted by
Seifollah Samadian, photographer.
*All the photographers, whose works were selected for the Exhibition,
will achieve a "Caroun Photo Club Honor Certificate" in 3
groups..
*A number of photography books will be gifted to the participants
in the Exhibition:
- Caroun Photo Club gifts 10 volumes of Mr. Nasrollah Kasraian's
Photography books
- Nazar Research & Cultural Center: 20 volumes photography and
painting books
- Ms. Maryam Zandi gifts 10 volumes of her Photography books
- Mr. Afshin Shahroudi gifts 10 volumes of his Photography books
- Mr. Jassem Ghazban Pour gifts 10 volumes of his Photography books
- Mr. Raffi Avanessian gifts 5 volumes of his Photography books
A Permanent digital Exhibition of these works will be shown in this
website.
Caroun Photo Club has the right to publish all the received photos in
Internet, magazines...
